MISSIONS: Immanuel is a “mission-minded” church, faithfully giving to the
American Baptist Churches’ denominational mission funds: One Great Hour
of Sharing, World Mission Outreach, America for Christ, and Retired
Ministers and Missionaries Fund. In addition, we support the unified budget
of the Great Rivers Region. We also give to institutions such as Judson College,
Northern Baptist Seminary and others.

Our Missions Committee keeps in close contact with Valley Forge and receives literature
and “helps” regularly. Our connection with the American Baptist Women is our Ruthean Circle,
which meets once a month and participates in ABW projects.

Our friends (and family members) Dr. Mark and Sandy Thompson

and family are missionaries to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa.
 

Our mission giving is not exclusive to ABC-USA;
other worthy missionaries are sometimes funded.
